in reading a little while writing this, people are marketint “opt-out consent” as a type of consent lmao

as if taking your info/data/whatever doesnt require consent to do, and they Will do it without your consent and only stop when you say so.

sounds exactly like the opposite of consent

again. techbros do Not understand consent and you will not convince me otherwise

@gingerrroot the opt-out as a form of expressing consent (lawl) is definitely not compliant with GDPR. I wish I had time and energy to sue all the non compliant and BROken consent systems I am encountering every day. (Not respecting GDPR can be sanctioned by a fine of 4% of the company income, using dark patterns makes it harder to convince the court that it was “a misunderstanding”)
