@antoniof has been doing some fantastic work on the new Nautilus file chooser. We're finally getting to a point where we'll be shipping a usable adaptive file chooser upstream.

(NOTE: this is still not merged, and I'm showcasing the current state of the WIP branches)

As an individual, volunteering time often has a MUCH higher impact than donating to a nonprofit.

Consider that an hour of work costs at least €50 for a nonprofit. For someone doing 5h of average volunteer time per week, that’s the equivalent of donating €13k each year!

Not everyone can afford to volunteer, but it's one of the most efficient ways to move a cause forward.

Aiming for a 10 year life-cycle for smartphones

I met with @pabloyoyoista today. We talked, amongst other, about the directions of Papers. As part of my #GSoC project, for example, I'm tackling gestures. It'll be a clean-up as much as will enable touchscreen users, who currently cannot select text, nor add annotations.
Yes, the pizza at the end is obligatory. (Would've been a boring picture otherwise, right?) And yes, they were paid for from a #postmarketOS running device.

blendOS v4 has been released! #ArchLinux made #Immutable, #Declarative, and Atomic. Define your system with a single YAML file ('/system.yaml') supporting packages/kernels/DEs from the Arch #Linux repos & #AUR.

#Flatpaks, #Android apps & #Ubuntu, #Fedora, #Debian, and #CentOS Stream packages can be installed too (#containers), and integrate with your host system.

P.S. We just joined Mastodon!

blendOS v4 released: Arch Linux, made immutable, declarative and atomic - blendOS

Arch Linux made declarative, immutable and atomic.

I really like the single bottom panel option on COSMIC.

Our alpha release gets closer by the day. We had 67 alpha 1 issues this morning. The number isn't necessarily indicative of the work because they're varying degrees of effort but it's still helpful.
