@finestructure Yea love the quiet fans on my current, I was afraid with higher wattage that it has gotten worse on newer models.

When we open our game for playtesting again I'll throw you an alpha key to see how well it's running :)

@finestructure I'm also still very happy with how well the M1 Max is holding up, though I'd give a lot to speed up Unity in any way 😅 and just having enough GPU power to never worry about it is very enticing.
Would also want the 14", slightly concerned about throttling/fan noise.
@finestructure I was looking at this for a potential replacement for my M1 Max MBP, but ouch, the price of it hurts my soul 🥲 is it the 14” or 16”?
@finestructure hey, nice that you’re active here as well! Yes, still in Malaga, same as always 😄 though not going to the coworking much anymore, mostly from just being very busy with our current project. Where are you at these days?
PC Gamer magazine's new issue is on sale now: Dinolords

@simonbs it’s definitely not the easy option 😂
@simonbs you could probably save a lot by using gpu texture compression like astc. Would have to dip down into Metal though, or possibly SpriteKit.
@Migueldeicaza Maybe using section headers for the categories? Tapping through categories to find an effect you're looking for would be a bit tedious.
Finally managed to implement a translation gizmo that I'm happy with! Drawing on top, with correct perspective, and hover/press states. Lot of effort for the simplest things.
Really missing being able to translate on two axis at a time though. And selection outlines. #swift #gamedev
I haven't had much time for side projects, but I have a small custom renderer brewing, using Swift and Metal. Not much to show, but I'm super happy that I got nice anti-aliased lines ✨
