Sometimes I stumble across an absolutely beautiful gem. In this case, immich-go which can scan a Google Takeout of photos, consume all of the metadata files, and recode and upload to Immich.

I already had 50GB of pics in Immich since 2023, and now my entire Google Photos history will be uploaded too. Whoot!

Oh wow, these fake story titles are just👌😂

#mastoadmin The Caddy proxy decided to die tonight which caused a 4h downtime.

Used the chance to update dependencies and increase the post character limit :)

Every-time I debug a Maven or SBT build I got reminded how understandable https://mill-build.org builds are.

Mill build stays my 'least-hated' build system, which is a good sign for a build system ;) #Java #Scala

"Why does it say the hospital is equipped for stroke emergency? We were there. They denied!"

"Maybe you should contact them that their website is wrong. This is dangerous."

"It wasn't on their website..."
*starts googling a specific question*
"Weird now it says no instead of yes."

I go to take a look and realise with horror, yes: Google AI summary.

Google AI summary made my parents-in-law visit the wrong, unequipped hospital for a potential stroke emergency. 🙃

I watched someone "vibe code" for an hour and now I think "slot machine coding" is a more appropriate name. "Let us pull the lever again and see if the code gets better with this prompt."

CHF p.a.
