Tsukue does math. I really like math. Sadly math can't tell a good story from a bad one, no matter how much I try.
Think of it like your smartwatch: it only sees the numbers. What you do with them is up to you. That's Tsukue.

Who doesn’t have at least one bad sync experience? I for sure have!
I wanted a system that I could trust instead of hoping for the best, so I made the sync deliberately cumbersome. Deletions need sign-off, rewrites too. Additions sync straight through. So when you switch from Mac to iPad, you confirm what gets overwritten — but new paragraphs just appear. I know this approach won’t be for everyone but neither is my app #writingcommunity #writing
I got my first real user feedback today ! I am so happy right now.

My website got an overhaul. Maybe people will finally get what Tsukue actually does :D #writing #writingcommunity https://tsukue.de
Tsukue — Dein Schreibtisch, neu gedacht

Native Schreib-App für macOS und iPad. Vier räumliche Tische, Stilanalyse, Lektor-Feedback, Figurenerkennung, Timeline, Compile und verschlüsselte Backups.

Tsukue
I hit a pretty big milestone today. Tsukue now perfectly handles all sizes of scripts. Before i would start to get slowdowns at around 100k words and importing moby dick with its 130 chapters and 200k words would slow down the app (i use gutenberg books and import them so i can stress test). No matter how many folders or scenes you know have - the app is blazing fast. The changes will come to the beta as soon as possible! #writing #writingCommunity
Well, just remembered the iPad version has handwriting- so much for feature parity :D
You know what sucks? Paying for the same software twice in the same ecosystem. That's why my writing app Tsukue will be a one and done purchase for MacOS, iPad and iPhone. Both Mac and iPad are the exact same - no feature differences (except docx export - thanks apple) and all devices can sync via iCloud if you wish. The first proper iPad beta was just greenlit by apple. You can join here: https://testflight.apple.com/join/8AFCuNbs
...anyway, that was the marketing thing.

The iPad version of tsukue was just sent to review to apple. Its on par with the MacOS App and supports native sync with iCloud. Open Beta is still running and If you sign up you'll get both versions to test as they will be a combined purchase once launched. Oh and it's 19 megabyte: that happens when you don't use external libraries. #writing #amWriting
This is a weird day today. Like a writer realizing that he finished his book, I just realised that I finished Tsukue. After months of hard work and a lot of thinking, I am where I want to be right now. Is it free of bugs? Hell no. But the UI is where it's supposed to be and I don't feel weird about a feature anymore (stripped about 2 today, lol) and it finally clicked into place.

It happened again. Start using Apple’s Foundation Models, sleep on it, strip it out. The black box just doesn’t fit an app whose whole pitch is that you can trust the numbers. Staying mostly deterministic, with the odd LLM helper here and there. Cautiously: I think I’m nearing feature completion, which means the open beta won’t stay open forever. So if you want to poke at the weird writing app that has MATH in it: https://testflight.apple.com/join/8AFCuNbs #BuildInPublic #amWriting #writing
