Kanold labNew preprint from the lab. Ji trained mice on an interactive auditory task in which they control the frequency of a tone with a wheel. Imaging showed that neurons in A1 encode sound, action, and errors. Thus, A1 not only encodes sensory driven activity but also represents the complex interplay between sensory inputs, expectations, and errors. So much more to discover!
