Interesting info on Shopify and the latest rubygems controversy. To me, the most interesting bit is how Tobi is the primary driver of Ruby adoption (to the dissatisfaction of some staff), which makes Ruby even more tenuous than Iâd previously thought, and thus more dependent on Rails. Dear Rubyists: Shopify Isnât Your Enemy
Iâve been meaning to write a post about my perspective on Open Source and corporate entities. I already got the rough outline of it; however, Iâm suffering from writerâs block, but more importantly, the whole post is a praise of how Shopify engages with Open Source communities. Hence, given the current climate, I donât think I could publish it without addressing the elephant in the room first anyway.
@openvibe RSS support is great and all but is it really necessary to push a notification about it, a few times a week? After the 10th notification about it, I get it, you support RSS⌠đ°
