Pro democracy / anti nazi / anti fascist / anti MAGA / anti crypto bros. Right now there is not much I do like.
I follow educated people who have IMO intelligent insights on things. If you want to know and understand more than you do, follow people who know and understand more than you do. Also applies to inspiring / funny people / journalists / photographers. (There is a lot of overlaps in those groups and following intelligent people).
TL;DR - I boost a lot and follow smart / insightful / funny people and occasionally have something to say.

ReToots / Likes does not signify endorsement / agreement.

PS - Really do not want to follow anybody @bird.makeup and will not link to the (formerly known as) bird site.

As they’ve been suing all the other ISPs, the labels’ case against Cox went to the Court of Appeals, and then to SCOTUS.

Today’s SCOTUS ruling, which is *unanimous*, basically calls BS and says ISPs are neither providing piracy tools nor inducing their customers to pirate. So they’re not liable.

I think a phenomenon that defines modern Imperial politics in the US emerges in the early 1970s in the interaction between LBJ and Richard Nixon, candidate for President, when LBJ discovers that Nixon has committed *literal* treason to try to manipulate the election, and chooses, *to protect the FBI and CIA*, to allow it.

Essentially, this whiff on holding someone powerful accountable for a major crime to protect State power is the modern era, distilled.

Decades.... maybe a century.

it’s very easy to dunk on liquid glass for looking like shit and being inaccessible trash but now that I’ve been forced onto a new version of iOS and have first-hand experience with it, I feel it’s important to tell the truth:

it works like absolute shit too. who the fuck’s idea was it to make notifications work like this? who fucking sat there and decided what I wanted from the keyboard was for someone to fuck with its layout for no apparent reason?

I’d ask who the fuck did this but we know who, and that entire team left Apple for Facebook right after the public backlash against liquid glass started

Anti-vaxxers continue to claim that #COVID19 vaccines cause “sudden death.” A new study finds the exact opposite—COVID vaccines PREVENT sudden death.

“COVID-19 vaccination was associated with a lower risk of sudden death (adjusted odds ratio [aOR] = 0.57)."

43% REDUCTION of sudden deaths in those COVID vaccinated.

Association between COVID-19 vaccination and sudden death in apparently healthy younger individuals: A population-based case-control study

In a case-control study, Husam Abdel-Qadir, Hardil Bhatt and colleagues investigate whether there is an association between COVID-19 vaccination and sudden death in apparently healthy younger individuals.

"Prediction markets aren't good at producing information, but they're amazing at producing corruption. Polymarket and Kalshi have at last realized the unhinged fantasy of "assassination markets" – where you stochastically murder someone by putting up huge wagers at favorable odds that your target will be killed. Anyone can collect the wager by putting up a small counterwager and then bumping off the victim. But, as Protos's Cas Piancey and Mark Toon note, Polymarket and Kalshi know what side their bread is buttered on – they have banned bets on Trump's death (Trump's sons are heavily invested in both Polymarket and Kalshi)" — @pluralistic

this shit is biblically demonic. the eschaton is immanentized, folx. better strap in.

"The U.S. #government is insolvent. That’s not hyperbole — it’s the conclusion drawn directly from the #Treasury Department’s own consolidated financial statements for fiscal year 2025, released last week to near-total #media silence. The numbers: $6.06 trillion in total assets against $47.78 trillion in total liabilities as of September 30, 2025."
