I don’t know if it was because I was starving or what, but this simple #foodcourt #meal was the most delicious food I’ve had in months. And that’s to say it was cheaper than most other expensive places I had been eating at.

Freshly hand made beef #noodles soup. Fried dumplings and seaweed side dishes. #Mainland #China type of #food. #Takashimaya Food court.

Bought one of the yellow ones, #Japanese #craftwork to display. These are seen throughout #Japan for the #Gregorian calendar new year. It is their #tradition.

Incidentally #Takashimaya also had the year of the rat #zodiac animal on display, ready for #ChineseNewYear. But I was told that Japanese also still observe the Chinese tradition of zodiac animal, just that they don’t follow lunar calendar anymore for the new year. #culture

Had #Vietnamese beef #noodles and #coffee on 31st December at the #foodcourt, which is like a hall with many different type of food stalls.

Closer to midnight I had #rosti and a warm gingerbread spiced grape drink. #food
