I'm here from bird hell. It's a different place. Things are slower here. Just chat. Be friendly. Relax.

I use Snapchat. There I just chat with people, I don't put stuff out, I use it differently. Different social media is different and that's OK.

Re pronouns. My now long dead grandpa used to say "you can call me anything as long as you don't call me late for dinner" I think he may have been on to something.

Hi. I'm #newhere but not part of the Great Twitter Exodus that I'm seeing. I'm a sci-fi writer whose day job is writing fantasy novels. I like the idea of social media, but have yet to find a place that doesn't leave me despairing humanity's future. After ghosting on a variety of platforms, I feeI like Mastodon is the most inclusive to the kind of people I most closely identify with, and it's the least hateful. Thanks for having me.
