@apophis @futurebird You have to think about the very real explanatory power of 19th century thought when it comes to #trump and an genealogy of #maga intellectual frameworks. Bringing this back to beef tallow, of course it does not cure ED through the mechanisms that maga and #maha presume! It is just slippery stuff on their junk, of course and certainly! But it is the 19th century frameworks for medicine, warfare (more Napoleonic than Clausewitzian* of course) etc that drive our history today.

@apophis @futurebird we forget, at our peril, that countries have been led by total wankers in the past, and that frequently their failures have led to a serious process of refocusing. That the #iranwar is related to Pete Hegseth's weird sexuality (which is obviously frustrated and includes high misogyny) is something to be understood by scholars in a continuum of other disturbed leaders. Including a man who had one ball.

@futurebird gotcha, history is getting pretty rough. Time to remember we got over Tiberious, the Habsburgs, Nero, Caligula, Christian VII of Denmark... Wacky leaders and their creative catastrophes of precious bodily fluids do tend to mark a kind of nadir, and thus refocus nations on the very real problem of competent leadership.

I will always be the first to admit when I am wrong. It looks like #Kuwait may be the first to need a U.S. carrier parked off shore for water desalinization... Not #Qatar. Because Kuwait's desal got droned today.
