This is what the devastation caused by the M7.8 #earthquake in #Turkey looks like from above. The dead were people with dreams and aspirations which turned to dust as they were sleeping in the dead of night. Survivors are out facing subzero temperatures, snow and overnight frost. Infrastructure got hit badly and rescue teams cannot reach some city centres. Help if you can!
…and here are videos of our students helping out with the relief effort. #earthquake #Turkey
β€œDad’s office”: A co-creation with my son using spare parts from Lego Harry Potter and Lego City. Visible also are my coffee mug and French press, as well as my bookshelf, a loudspeaker and a spherical(?) microphone array #lego #sundayfun #scientistlife
Great introduction to #datatopology in Physics Today for the uninitiated like myself. Thank you @masonporter and co-authors for this gentle introduction.

It wasn’t a #newyearsresolution or anything, but I managed to get at least 35 mins of exercise for 8 consecutive days. This is all thanks to the #threadmill we got at the end of last year. I’m still a bit cautious since I had #covid just a month ago, but things seem to be progressing well. Hope that I can see my chronically high #ldl get lower and chronically low #hdl higher in due time.
