@AmyZenunim I've recently been getting a non-stop algorithmic loop about how important it is to escape the modern Internet's non-stop algorithmic loops. Had to just sit down and contemplate that one.

STOP CENTRALIZING SOCIAL MEDIA

- posts were not supposed to be seen by everyone!

- years of posting and yet NO REAL WORLD USE found for putting them all in one place

I was going to make a post about the Xbox 360 store shutting down and say "countdown to the community-run alternative"
But it turned out my friend Derf (maker of Console mods .wiki) had been working on a homebrew replacement in anticipation of the shut down and within 24 hours of the Xbox Live Store on 360 shutting down his homebrew store went live!

Secure boot is largely controlled by Microsoft because there's no other organization large enough to get their keys enrolled in every system, so yeah it tends to get fucky when Linux is involved. There's ways around it, but it's not a pleasant experience.

Its also especially difficult to solve if you use Nvidia, because their proprietary module taints the kernel and invalidates its signature, which of course breaks Secure Boot.

Lutris is basically only needed for non-Steam games. There are scripts to automatically install lots of popular stuff on the Lutris site, it should be the first place you look for anything not on Steam. However, staying on Steam is usually your best bet on Linux because Valve always treats you like a first class citizen.

Until there's an LTS channel, it'll never get major enterprise support. Everything else is growing pains, that's the only real blocker.
