I was gone for nine days but spring fully arrived with a bang which is fantastic (and very overwhelming) - in those nine days we got summery temperatures for 5 days and a weekend of heavy rain so the grass is taller than ever and the weeds are everywhere. Looking at lots of work wherever I look but also lots of biomass and future #compost - trying to focus on the bright side to not get too overwhelmed with the amount of time it will take to catch up. Greenhouse updates coming up as well

Finally finished manually digging #swales for the #syntropicagroforestry system - these will not remain traditional swales for two reasons:

1. I don’t want the dogs to hurt themselves when playing, even if I don’t want them in the system to begin with. Better safe than sorry.

2. We don’t experience heavy rains often, so runoff isn’t my primary issue.

The solution? Filling them with rough compost and mulch to serve as a sponge - they will feed the #soil and retain moisture.

📚 With the limited amount of characters, how do folks share #bookreviews here? I don’t publish them in a blog (should I ?) and have enjoyed #upscrolled allowing longer texts but was personally never big on making/watching reviews as reels - do I just make my reviews super brief for this platform ? Or turn them into a thread old-timey Twitter style?

I adore audiobooks but not Amazon - so here are my two favourite alternatives. Libby holds a special place here, making ebooks and audiobooks widely accessible for a very low budget. I also wanted to highlight @librofm, which allows for the support of individual bookshops (to my Berliners or anyone really, you can support @curiousfoxbooks on Libro FM)
