@vwestlife Is there a "time remaining" counter?
I had a VCR that would calculate this after a minute or two, presumably based on the speed of the two reels. Shorter tapes (with the fat spools) might confuse this?
@Concretism I've forgotten the context now, but I was once driving along unlit country lanes in (Yorkshire? Somewhere around there) and I dropped into a hollow with a tight bend and a tree. FM radio cut out and for 10 mins or so all I could get was USA Voice of America on AM. Felt very timeshifty
@vwestlife I had always presumed that this was a UK / US difference. The BBC micro references "disc" and the *DISC commands, for example
The new cycle path near to where I work is coming along. A new bridge to cross the river! When this is complete I will be able to cycle to work without having to ride on the busy narrow road (that's also very hilly).
