Music of a grim, Cold War Britain (2010-2025).

Aside from the odd project, Concretism is now mothballed. I'm doing other things elsewhere.

You can still buy my old stuff on Bandcamp:

I genuinely thought Ice Ice Baby was by Ice-T.
Just learnt that Vanilla Ice and Ice-T are in fact two different people.
Work keeps me sane.

Had a nice semi-day off. Ate a hearty (and probably too large) brunch with the wife. Sent out a bunch of (late) invoices. Took another studio booking. New client sent through material for the first episode of an arts series I'm making for them. Managed to get most of it assembled, edited and mixed this afternoon.

Because we're both knackered and it's been a week, we're having lazy supermarket pizza tonight.

We were out first thing picking up a tool cabinet thing from Halfords. Then off out soon for brunch/lunch.

Day offing properly.

Inspired by the trade show that I was working at yesterday, I thought I'd look up the broadcast media trade show that I used to go to in London, but haven't for some years, with a view to maybe going this year.

About three quarters of the seminars and break-out sessions were about using AI in production. Really quite depressing.

Can we all just take a moment to reflect on how great Boards of Canada's remixes are.
Maribou State on the train home. It's lovely stuff.

I'm out today recording lots of stuff at a conference/trade fair. I've got my recording rucksack full of various recording gear.

On my portable recorder I'll be using the windguard, or 'Peter' as I like to call it.

It does blow my mind a bit that I live out in the sticks in rural East Anglia, but with trains I can be sitting in Tottenham Court Road eating breakfast before work.
