Music of a grim, Cold War Britain (2010-2025).

Aside from the odd project, Concretism is now mothballed. I'm doing other things elsewhere.

You can still buy my old stuff on Bandcamp:

But I do probably have the shiniest car in eastern England now.
Change of plan. We were supposed to drive an hour and a half for a shopping trip today, but now decided to go somewhere a bit more local which is only half an hour away. We're both a bit knackered today after a full day yesterday with garden, housey and car jobs.

Breakfast in town. Then getting my beans from my coffee place. Sourdough from the market. Then looking at plant pots (wife). Making pizza this evening.

Saturdaying properly.

I do think East Anglia, particularly Suffolk, is one of England's best kept secrets.

Working at home today. A lot to do - a full edit and mix for a regular client; some tweaks and changes for a new one; prep for a studio job next week. I'm behind on invoicing (for a change).

Time for a walk this morning though. Cows in the meadows at the bottom of my street. They're big.

Oh wow. Lady next to me on the tube reading the exact same edition of Gulliver's Travels that I bought in the early '90s. It's as faded and dog eared as mine too. I think it might be mine, I'll have to check when I get home.

Since moving to rural Suffolk in December, I've decided to try buying local stuff if I can. Found an excellent local coffee roaster. Now trying my second local brewer. There's an incredible pie man at Lavenham market. Yet to find my cheese people.

I'm listening to Pye Corner Audio again on my journey in this morning.

Like the best electronic music, it defies categorisation and is difficult to describe. Gritty production, wistful melodies, catchy rhythm sections. He could so easily seek refuge in a load of uninspiring arps but never does.

Are people not tired of Harry Potter yet?
