Do any US transit agencies that receive state funding need to tell their state legislature how that money should be raised? Asking for a friend.
Yesterday we at Providence Urbanist Network submitted our comments on the Rhode Island Department of Transportation's "Carbon Reduction Strategy."
In its current form, it's not a strategy to reduce #carbon. It's a strategy to avoid contributing to meeting the state's Act on Climate targets. It represents predatory delay.

There are three pieces of top quality bicycle infrastructure in this state, and a fourth that is nearly as good. That I lack a safe way to get to any of them from where I live, and that no such way seems planned, seems actively bad for my mental and physical health.
