Ah yes definitely an up and coming best city for biking.
Me calling my representation and telling them to fund RIPTA and avoid the impending fiscal cliff transit cuts.
I know people don’t like him and the direction he’s taking the city, especially moving the festival, but why would you call him Bert when this guy is right here

Incidentally while Columbus bike infrastructure is far from perfect there’s a lot to like. It turns out the river/creek side trails are useful for travel. But many of the on road segments are less good.

Worst bit was the east-west lateral via Hudson St which had some lane one way (climbing, thankfully) and sharrow the other… then ended up in the middle of road construction which made the street one way. Oof.

Randomly passed this while bicycling around Columbus.

Scioto Valley Traction ran interurban service, mostly third rail, from Columbus to Lancaster and Chillicothe. Jackson & Sharpe-built 110 was rebuilt into luxury parlor car “Lord Dunmore”. The company ran service until 1930.

Seeing what happened in Philly on I-95… I dunno how fast they’d get it *fixed* but assuming the SB side is safe, I could get 3 lanes open north again pretty fast: cross one NB lane over to the SB side; knock out the wall between the NB off and on ramps and run 2 lanes there. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Preparing for travel in this house, goes like this.
This is what you get without an HOA. We have one place in our neighborhood that isn’t governed by the HOA and this is what we get as a neighbor.
The hot giveaway from the Rhode Island Tree Council was the pawpaw. Yeah, you know I got a pawpaw.
People here are just so full of themselves, they think it’s okay to leave their Land Rovers parked on the sidewalk! 😂
