I keep hearing 9 inch nails mentioned like ??
bitch clip your nails that's nasty
Got out for a ride while the temperature was still cool (65°F). Along the way I ran across a bicycle built for three.
I have questions.

my biggest concern for a long time has been computer literacy--there is something magnetic to me about how simple BASIC is.

i have sat down with a few people over the years. they came to me complaining about how hard python or scratch was, and i installed VICE emulator on their computer. within minutes of writing their first joke GOTO or INPUT program, i have had people vibrating in their seats with excitement--"wow, i can program!!"

that feeling is something i want to replicate and multiply among people, giving people "software freedom" through a sense of mastery and success.

At the height of this year’s galaxy season, I finally captured my first image of the stunning Whirlpool #Galaxy (Messier 51).

Just finished Usula K Le Guin's Lavinia.

Why do I keep letting her break my heart like this? How is she such a beautiful, seamless storyteller? #bookstodon

TIL a new 25-page eBook by author Travis Baldree exists, who wrote the wonderful books Legends and Lattes, and Bookshops and Bonedust.

It's called Goblins and Greatcoats and it's FREE🎉 at Subterranean Press:

After the Libre Graphics Meeting, I spent a couple days in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, from which there's a train that goes up to the Zugspitze! It's part of the Alps, the highest point in Germany, and shares a border with Austria. It tops out at 9718 feet. There's quite a nice lake with blue/greenish glacial runoff water called the Eibsee down below.
No, we don't. We need to talk about your trackers.

"Every summer, I repost this article DROWNING DOES NOT LOOK LIKE DROWNING. To date, I know of FOUR kids who were saved after someone who'd clicked on the link learnt how to spot actual drowning. Take time to read and pass on."

Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning

Drowning is not the violent, splashing call for help that most people expect.

@jerzone the mechanical stress on those tubes if someone were to sit in those seats, and the lack of structure to balance against...

Passengers would have to be lightweight and braver than I am, that's for sure.

@cargot_robbie At first I was concerned the person pedaling wouldn't be able to see where they're going, but upon closer consideration that's probably the least of their worries.
@jerzone Something about it is screaming "welding apprentice project" to me.

@jerzone Did my ride at 6:30 AM when it was 78F. By the time I finished, it was 86 with a humidex of 102. Worse out today so no ride at all for me.

Fantastic bike photo!

@toddtyrtle Got out at 5:50am and luckily fog with low clouds moved in to hold back the sun for a couple hours, it only got a few degrees warmer. The index will be around 103 later this afternoon. Bleh.

@jerzone @toddtyrtle Only dropping to 79 deg overnight here. Already set two record low/highs...

My cooling system is NOT setup for daytime high temps during the night😓

@jerzone The front seat rider needs to have the best insurance IMO. :-)
@micron “I'm flying!”
@jerzone Probably fun as long as they are flying perpendicular to the gravity vector. 😀
@jerzone @nicd Something Awful house renovation post of a bike mod ☠️
@tommi @jerzone @nicd #ATBGE says hello 😁
@Laird_Dave @jerzone @nicd Would not call making one's kid's wellbeing dependent on a single, highly stressed, shoddy weld a great execution 😅
@tommi @jerzone @nicd depends on their ultimate goal ^^
@jerzone This broke my brain looking at it.
@dutchbarracuda My brain tries to integrate the round parking loop into the bike.
@jerzone @dutchbarracuda
Same.
Question is: does that improve or worsen the overall impression? 🤔
@jerzone those welds… not to mention the structural support 🙈
@jerzone I'm not sure I know enough words to understand the answers.
@jerzone Or one person with additional, unique riding styles. 🤔
⬆️⬆️⬆️ de la concurrence pour @niavy ? 😂
@tsadiq
Krkrkrrrr 😄 pas mal 😄

@jerzone *gasp*

Can you imagine? Just imagine! Being a passenger, nothing to hold, nowhere to put your feet, just precariously balanced on your perineum hoping against hope that the driver, in the middle of the bike with no clear view of the road, doesn't ever turn or speed up or slow down!

@jerzone
One the other site, I once saw a photo of a bike where someone had welded a mount to convert it to disc brakes (looked like a good job).

Difficult to appreciate that on this photo

@jerzone I hope that rear position has a suspension seat post.
I bet the rear spokes get some punishment😬
@jerzone
You still can have rear brakes with a backwards pedaling system, but the lack of place to rest the feet or grab for passengers' hands - structural issues apart - makes the whole thing a nonsense.
@jerzone
A glitch in the matrix. The diffusion model had a hiccup...

@jerzone

Three seats but rides nine, this Clown Bike is perfect for the circus looking to modernize and dispense with the carbon producing Clown Car

@jerzone as a dutchie, I wouldn't touch that with a eleven foot pole
@jerzone our record as teens was like five. One sitting on the bars, one sitting on the top tube, one pedalling standing, one sitting on the saddle and one standing on the parcel shelf. Something like that.
@jerzone I kept looking at this thinking "l only see 2 seats, what gives?" And then I saw the one in front 😬
@sleepfreeparent At first I thought front seat was a helmet, almost biked by and then “...wait a minute!”
