Anyone #UX folks finding a design-ish instance? I've found a nice well run instance social.coop that seems well run and financed. I doesn't appear to have ANY design focus, but hey, you can't have everything....

mastodon.design seems nice but is appears to be mostly french (which is fine! just language issues)

hci.social seems lovely but I worry they are going to get hammered when the CHI community wakes up to mastodon.

How I'm treating every change I make to Mastodon right now #UX
@slightlyoff Given the hammering that Mastodon is getting with new users, I can't help but think of your comments about React and how it's likely causing so much pain with the extra server overhead.
#UX Friends in India
I'm going to be travelling in Mumbai, Goa, Kochi, and Delhi throughout January-February. Just throwing out a wide net to see if there are any UX oriented groups, public or private that I should reach out to.
How do I control the #hashtags that show up in my Home feed? I can't see a list anywhere. It appears hashtags on my profile imply I want to follow them? This is creating TOO much content. I want a home feed of only posts from people I follow...
Hi, there! Currently a creative director, I was schooled as a graphic designer and artist. My work has revolved around (UI) design, front-end development, web accessibility, UX, responsive design, and design processes in general. I like contexts in which design/art and code meet.

So much of it seems to revolve around "culture" and getting people to a) discuss calmly and b) make decisions.

For example, one person I've talked to renamed their "UX team" to not use the word "UX" in the title as it just seemed to make people feel more comfortable...

#UX folk in the #FOSS space. I'm collecting tips/trick you use to help your teams coordinate on UX decisions. Is there anything you find particularly helpful?

Please feel free to DM if you'd rather not be public about it.

@lowresolution <waves> good to see you here!

The Mastodon backlash has begun.

1. New users are complaining about how hard it is to sign up

2. Long time users are shrugging and saying 'get gud'

This was inevitable and I'm not discouraged. There is the start of something very good here and we should just dig in and try to make it better.
