@atomicpoet #hashtags are a "quick, cheap" discovery method, just a part of the overall story. There are no definitive answers to social discovery, a successful product will require a matrix of solutions, offered at different engagement points.

I am thinking of creating a #monitoring / #observability project for self-hosted @Mastodon instances. Features I'm imagining:
* Basic uptime alert
* SSL Certificate Expiration Alert
* Mastodon version check
* Basic vulnerability checking for insecure defaults
* Simple host security checking (ports, etc)
* Self-hostable so you can run it on docker in your homelab or alongside your #mastodon instance
* Email/Discord bot alerting
* Simple visual dashboard w/ uptime status
