After nine years, it happened. I finally made the move to switch away from #Google for email to #ProtonMail #Proton #ProtonME

I was a bit hesitant about it, like, what will break, how hard will it be, and so on.

It was easier than I anticipated, I got more storage, I now have data in Europe and pay to a European actor rather than an American one.

Here's my learnings: https://elis.nu/blog/2026/02/migrating-from-g-suite-to-protonmail/

@determinatesystems Heya, I've recently made a transfer of a repository https://github.com/TaserudConsulting/jsonresume-nix to myself at https://github.com/etu/jsonresume-nix

Because I'm shifting focus and am shutting down that organization.

Is it also possible to redirect https://flakehub.com/flake/TaserudConsulting/jsonresume-nix?view=usage to https://flakehub.com/flake/etu/jsonresume-nix?view=usage ?

Since I've deleted the Github Organization it's probably impossible for me to log in with it.

@cf @schnedan I also have the plan that I could upgrade the image later on, it doesn't have to be perfect from the start. I have quite some things to do, so I hope I find time for this some day. This has been quite helpful for gathering ideas and such though, so thanks πŸ™
@cf @schnedan I plan to talk to a photo interested friend as well, but I think he's mostly into analog photos πŸ˜…
@cf @schnedan Hm, that's a good idea, the optics and focus would be quite different though?
@schnedan I have absolutely considered mounting my phone on rails or similar to moving it across a plane, I've also been considering my 3d printer to do the movements. But it's kinda cramped in there and not very good light conditions.

I have an idea for a weird project, but it would require a photo. A really really high resolution photo. Like stupid high resolution. How high resolution you may ask? As much as possible. And it needs to be really sharp and clean of a specific object with a white background.

Does anyone here know anyone that has a macro photo setup or know someone that can take stupid high resolution photos?

It's for a satire website that doesn't exist yet.

@coopdot Quite unsure of that. The people I do know are mostly gamers but some of them do some hacking things. Not enough to be a space though. @gmc

@martin Heya, I really like the nerdydaytrips website and I do like how it's built and such. It must be so easy to host compared to keeping a real database.

Over the weekend I've been working on my own mapping website, for an entirely different kind of data and it's been a blast. I didn't fork, but then kinda vibed something together with hugo and nix and I really want to deploy it whenever I'm ready.

The thing I'm thinking off is the submission / pr process. Do you have any learnings?

@Seitansbraten Fresh Tempeh is quite different from non-fresh. To me it's like comparing a fresh cucumber to cucumber in a jar or pickles.

Then, tempeh isn't for everyone. One doesn't have to like it :)

Haven't watched that video but it looks interesting though!
