ClassTime is a timetable, tasks and files app for students. Version 3 includes useful features like interactive widgets and is available on #iOS and #iPadOS

ClassTime 3 for #macos is almost done and is on TestFlight. If you’re on macOS 14, please consider joining the TestFlight and sending feedback, especially on how nice ClassTime plays with new features like desktop widgets. People with macOS 13.3 or later can join.

Using TestFlight is a great way to help developers test beta versions of their apps.

@IceCubesApp Ice cube’s smooth as butter now, night and day difference from the ios 16 version. Great work!
My app has iOS 15 widgets that I’ve updated to AppIntents. Existing widgets end up all white like this for at least a couple hours after install. But new widgets can be added without issue. Is anyone else having this problem with migrating widgets while keeping the old ones to support older OS versions? I’m using CustomIntentMigratedAppIntent.

Why would widgets that work properly in debug and release modes, show up blank in TestFlight and during App Review on iOS 17?? These widgets are in a WidgetBundle and two of them use intents for configuration. This issue couldn’t have popped up at a better time 🙄

“At this point advertising on Twitter is directly extending financial support to neo-Nazis. It’s long past time companies like Apple, which resumed advertising on the platform in December 2022, just stopped.”

Apple is paying lip service to its much vaunted “concern” for the LGBTQ+ community, among others. Instead of being “stewards” of the communities it says it’s concerned about, they’re acting like just another company only concerned with a bottom line. https://writing.exchange/@ianbetteridge/111005748283919598

Updating to Xcode 15 beta 8 resolves this issue

Is anyone else building interactive widgets using app intents for apps that target both #macos #Ventura and #Sonoma? My widget with a Button(intent:) that is supposed to be shown only on Sonoma, crashes when run on Ventura 13.4.1. It works as intended (button is hidden) on ios 16. I’m using Xcode 15 beta 7.

I think what some of the Olde Mastodone types don’t get is that it’s not the fediverse on its face that challenges capitalist social media, it’s our ability to create and sustain communities here. Community, not software, is the opposite of capitalism.

if the platform (and people) allow abuse and harassment to flourish without visibility, we don’t have functional community, we’ve just once again failed to make intentional online spaces any better than our societies irl

This is REALLY important.

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment and counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

Let that sink in. It costs less than accepting homelessness.
