"I won't attend your event due to the lack of Covid protections."
-Sensible and reasonable but boring.

"A vow of solitude for the duration of the plague prevents my presence. Your careless congregations tempt fate and threaten the wellbeing of our bloodlines. My duty is to health and reason."
-Mysterious, heroic, epic.

Basically being disabled and poor is incredibly expensive, so don't judge someone when they purchase takeout or something, it's either that or not eat at all sometimes

#feditips 1/3 Mastodon doesn't have DMs. Don't tell people that it has, because it is conceptually confusing. DM triggers the idea of a private chat separate from the timelines. Again, Mastodon doesn't have that.

Mastodon has visibility options. If you choose “Mentioned people only”, and add the handle of a person you are complaining about, then they will be able to read your complaint because you are mentioning that person!

So again. No DMs. Just visibility options. This ain't Twitter.

hello!! #introduction i’m rosy and have been struggling with #FunctionalNeurologicalDisorder since mid 2020. i was diagnosed about a year ago and am new to the online disabled community and the world of disability advocacy, so any advice/criticism/support is always appreciated! i’m mostly a lurker but i haven’t seen many people with #FND on here yet, so i thought i’d throw my hat in the ring. i have a lot of symptoms that mimic #tourettes so my posts may often be about that! #NEISvoid #FNDaware
