Programmer by day, thinks about old games a bit too much by night by making videos on them.

Existentially tired and here for interesting games talk, and not quick dunks or s*itposting.

Time for a new #BeyondTheScanlines - with Heart of Neon available for digital/streaming, I thought it'd be a great idea to do a quick bit on it, and hopefully convince y'all to check it out!

YOU SHOULD GO WATCH Heart of Neon! Seriously!

@Bobbins This was one I only stumbled about in more recent years - and yeah, the curiosity is what drives me a lot these days, and I really, really struggle to understand folks who only want to go back to the same shit they know.

There's So Much out there which is worth exploring, even if it doesn't click the same way as it does for someone else!

@vampiress Thanks! It's been a good learning process (both for Godot, and for getting better computer driver behaviour).

Don't think I've shared anything about my racing game thingy here in a while.

Made improvements with the computer AI (though I'm still constantly poking at it) and replaced the HUD with something less coder art (and is readable on smaller screens).

Plus a little slipstreaming as a bonus.

Been lucky to made progress the last few weeks before I lose a bunch of spare time.

Thankfully the codebase isn't in midst of a refactor.

@vampiress Congrats! Looking forward to giving this a spin!

Crystals of Zong is one of those early #C64 games which takes a concept from the arcades and offers a new neat twists for those playing at home - in its own unique way compared to others of the time.

NEW VIDEO!

May be a little Late to the Party in covering it, but Musketeer for #C64 is a charming swashbuckling adventure which harkens back to those early Datasoft efforts.

Its only downside is that it's a little too brief…

#Roguecraft DX not only expands upon the Amiga update to Rogue64, but it brings it over to the #GBColor and more excitedly, the #mega65

So time to get back to the dungeons and see how a 16-bit upgrade is squeezed onto some 8-bits.

Whoop, my port of @robc's Invasion of the Emerald Saucers for the STe has been included in the 8th Annual Atari Age Homebrew Awards, alongside some great games like Galactic Panic and the excellent port of Defender:
