Very excited about the return of the clovers in our lawn - slow, but strongly encouraged! Can't wait to have bees buzzing around the lawn again

I've been meaning to do this for ages: connect the two tall water butts on our allotment with shut off valves so that I can isolate them if I want.

Just checking. Everyone here who can is paying money to keep the wheels turning in their fediverse server, right?
Right?
Our smallish UK server needs an annual money budget of about £3,000. Hundreds of people making small payments every month can make that look easy.
Oh, did I mention that the budget/money stuff can be all transparent on Open Collective ...

Got the new garden to a major milestone this weekend, so have some pics of all our plants!

In these pictures we've got potatoes, tomatoes, oregano, basil, petunias, lavender (I think), some flowering bush I don't remember the name of, lilac, and Boston fern.

I didn’t go to the #AllotmentGarden for 10 days because the weather was shit and I was busy. Came back to two of my veggie beds being absolutely overgrown with goosefoot (they’re new beds from this year so it’s probably because the seeds enjoyed being disturbed) and the horseradish poking up in new and exciting (not) spots.

Two hours of work today helped a bit though, but I’m happy I will have more time to get it under control again over the next few weeks 😅

Anyone know what this is on the Zinnia? #Gardening

If anyone knows anything about how to become a small sponsor at the Eisteddfod, or any other way of engaging with the Eisteddfod, please reach out to me, I'm interested in highlighting/showcasing Tŵt to the Maes visitors.

I wish I could be there to run a small stall, but I don't think I can make that happen this year.

Side note, 10% of all posts on Tŵt are yn Gymraeg!

Ditto for the Golwg360 site, I don't see any ads on the site but maybe there's a way to do an advertorial or something....

Actually, any ideas at all, if anyone has thoughts on how/where we could be promoting our community, I'm all ears. Paid or free, I'm open to putting some money into it.

Another night of temperatures in mid-40's Fahrenheit had me delaying (again) planting my tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant outside.

They'll finally get planted later today.

It's not every day that north-west Wales gets invaded by the Spanish Armada! The historical ship Galeón Andalucía is visiting Caernarfon for the next few days.

#Area51 is doing well. Still a lot of weeding to tackle, but the perennial sages, iris and roses are doing well! Happy bees.

@IcooIey So nice. And you have Irises. I don't seem to be able to grow them... Really lovely.
@JimmyB
I can’t get them to do well at my house, just a bit too shady. At Area51, they get enough light, but the voles are a pest. It’s always a battle. These are my favorite, but the only bloomed the first year. I’ll move them out to the plot this summer.
@JimmyB the Siberian iris do well here though.
