Oh hey, for anyone here interested in the use of #Markdown for course content (either inside OR outside of an LMS👀) or #OER you might want to check out my most recent open source project Docsify Open Course Starter Kit that can run on GitHub Pages (so no Webserver is needed!)... more info at https://github.com/hibbitts-design/docsify-open-course-starter-kit and my most recent #CanvasLMS + Docsify CMPT-363 course site is at https://canvas.sfu.ca/courses/69678

I have a new book out on Aleator Press! https://www.aleator.press/releases/wendit-tnce-inf it's a collection of asemic prose poems in a small handmade letterpress edition. the book was generated with code from a nanogenmo project of mine from a few years ago (source available here: https://github.com/aparrish/word-gan-book-generator)

james did such lovely work with the book design and printing. it was rewarding to work with him and I'm so glad this is finally out in the world!

@danamcfarland Have you settled on a Mastodon server that better meets your needs yet? BTW still approval from my account request from scholar.social
@chendricks A wonderful accessibility resource for my #IED336 and #EDCI336 colleagues. Thanks!
@thatpsychprof I put a request in for an account, but am patiently waiting for it to be approved. I'm guessing they're dealing with a lot of requests this week.
@mguhlin A wonderful resource for my #IED336 and #EDCI336 pre-service teachers!
A solid article written by a principle on why Digital Student Portfolios are useful pedagogically, and helpful in other ways incl. home-school communication. #ied336 #edci336 https://www.ascd.org/blogs/10-reasons-why-you-should-implement-digital-student-portfolios

As both a father and a building principal, education is a personal endeavor as well as a professional one. My two children have always attended the school in which I have served as a leader. So for me to recommend anything to teachers and leaders, it has to pass muster as a dad as well as an educato

I ran across and interesting web based game called Bad News that teaches information literacy skills by helping players learn how to create fake news. Here are my related musings about learning, gamification, biological weapons, and fake news.
