Ok I gave it a try but I don’t like the new Valencia bike lane:
- despite the traffic calming, I feel more at risk of being right hooked. Feels more dangerous than the risk of being doored on Folsom. (Anecdotal)
- there’s always someone parked in it. I thought SFMTA parking enforcement was fully staffed and facing a deficit?? More tickets please.
- too much zig zag, feels like Mario Kart
- the pavement is ridiculous, very bad shape, bumpy ride, don’t want to damage my art supplies
- more conflict with pedestrians. Sidewalks are way too small. Crosswalks are jogged, more conflict…
They exposed 3/5 pieces I submitted!

I figured out I could put the panier rack adapter ON TOP of the rack! I am not off balance when carrying just one panier!
