Please sign this petition to ask the government to commit to not amending the Equality Act's definition of sex and remove protection for trans people.

The Government has previously committed to not remove legal protections for trans people, an already marginalised group, but this change would do so.

Petition: Commit to not amending the Equality Act's definition of sex

It has been reported that the Government may amend the Equality Act to "make it clear that sex means biological sex rather than gender." The Government has previously committed to not remove legal protections for trans people, an already marginalised group, but this change would do so.

So @JohnDMStewart appears to be the UK Noise Association chap who has spent the last year attacking LTNs and those who support LTNs on twitter. I had to block him there as his views were unevidenced and he supported toxic attacks on others including doxxing attempts. IMO unless he has changed tack radically, he has no place on an instance marked 'urbanists' let alone one marked 'social'.

So, #Andor then? I'm most of way through series & not a huge Star Wars fan but it's cracking. A horrifyingly grim portrayal of the endless, repetitive bureacracy of fascism, of genocide by slow strangulation, it's also an inventive low budget sci-fi that uses London locations including the Barbican & Brunswick Centre (and Polaroid camera props). If you're like me, then you were really happy to learn about Mastodon's enthusiastic support for image descriptions, and you were eager to join in.

Then you went to actually write something and realized you have no idea how to present visual info in a way that is helpful/enjoyable to those who are #VisuallyImpaired or #Blind.

I found this guide really informative: https://uxdesign.cc/how-to-write-an-image-description-2f30d3bf5546

Post-viral Edit: Don't forget to give the author some love on medium. They did the work!
