Update: Artwork has been sold to the fabulous Tina Connor! 🥳

I've been going to some life drawing meetups at Smiths Alternative, and created this painting based on some of my sketches. I felt inspired by this quote by Ev’Yan Whitney:

"Us Too Much Women have been facing extermination for centuries—we are so afraid of her, terrified of her big presence, of the way she commands respect and wields the truth of her feelings. We’ve been trying to stifle the Too Much Woman for eons—in our sisters, in our wives, in our daughters. And even now, even today, we shame the Too Much Woman for her bigness, for her wanting, for her passionate nature.

And still. . . she thrives.

In my own world and before my very eyes, I am witnessing the reclamation and rising up of the Too Much Woman. That Too Much Woman is also known to some as Wild Woman or the Divine Feminine. In any case, she is me, she is you, and she is loving that she’s finally, finally getting some airtime."

This painting is a reminder to pause, breathe and appreciate the present moment. 🙂

“We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment. It is a little parenthesis in eternity.”

Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

‘Take a Breath’ 14 x 14 inches. Acrylic on canvas. SOLD

As the leaves begin to turn and the light grows softer, Easter in the Southern Hemisphere offers a different kind of invitation... one of inward reflection, quiet transformation, and letting go.

This season reminds us that rebirth doesn’t always arrive in a burst of new life. Sometimes, it comes gently - through slowing down, through shedding what is no longer needed, and through trusting that even in stillness, something sacred is unfolding.

Whether you celebrate Easter as a spiritual tradition, a cultural holiday, or simply as a time to pause and reconnect, may this season offer you space to breathe, to reflect, and to come home to yourself. May you feel held by the turning of the earth, and supported as you move through your own seasons of change - with courage, grace, and hope.

Wishing you all a gentle and meaningful Easter! Sending big love, hugs and blessings to all my friends.
Feeling excited to send this piece off to its new home with a lovely collector in Perth! It’s always such a joy knowing my art will be part of someone’s space — thank you for supporting my work. ☺️

Hi there! I'm Ren, and I'm a multi-passionate artist, mentor and blogger based in Canberra, Australia.

My first adventures with art started when I was in kindergarten at Northside Infants School. I quietly snuck into the classroom at lunch times to paint, but soon I got caught by my teacher and ended up in trouble! Despite this rocky start to my art career, I never gave up my creative spirit. I also got my first commissions at age five, drawing banana cats for my classmates at recess.

Over the past ten years, I've been on a long journey of healing and recovery after being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and ME. My body of work reflects my personal path of restoring body, mind and spirit. I'm passionate about the intersection between psychology, spirituality, embodiment practice, and holistic health.

In the midst of pain and difficult times, art has been an outlet for my pain and a guiding light. I love painting because it's a space to play, explore, have fun and allow my intuition to guide me. While I love a wide range of art styles, I particularly enjoy the element of surprise and the unexpected that come with creating intuitive abstract art. It has taught me about being present, releasing control, and embracing imperfection.

I chose the name "Prismatic Streams" to encapsulate my eclectic interests and multiple passions. It also symbolises diversity and inclusivity. My mission is to inspire through creativity, empower people to heal holistically, and restore a sense of wellbeing through divine love.
