#Nature is just eroding away very slowly,” Wagner said. As #insects disappear, “we’re losing the limbs and the twigs of the tree of life. We’re tearing it apart. And we’re leaving behind a very simplified and ugly tree.”

The Virginia Tech Helmet Lab has released their 2022 rankings of #equestrian #riding #helmets, link here: https://www.helmet.beam.vt.edu/equestrian-helmet-ratings.html

It's great to see that it's possible to get a safe helmet without spending hundreds of dollars, as two of the top three are selling for less than $60!

Remember it's also essential to have a helmet that fits, as even the highest-rated helmet will be less safe if it doesn't fit you properly.

Hey, I'm new here! I'm currently a research associate at Virginia Tech working on pollinator conservation in cattle pastures. I'm a bee specialist with broad interests in sustainable agriculture, ecology, insect behavior, and conservation. I love cross-disciplinary collaborations, pretending to be good at mathematical modeling, and bizarre insect facts.
