It's easy to feel jaded with 1.8 million new songs uploaded every month. Through peers, radio, podcasts, print, blogs, and targeted algorithms I listen to a tiny portion of releases in my ballpark. Out of that very little lands. But then you hear a track that changes you. Yes, it's still important.

Just got back from a trip to L.A. with a mainly friends/family agenda but I did manage a brief pilgrimage to stop by musical legend Mark Mothersbaugh ‘s striking Mutato Muzika production HQ which seems to hum with creative radioactivity — I was a happy chappy

Anyone who knows me knows I’m slightly obsessed with radio — I’ve been using the sounds of radio in my music since the early ‘90s — so it’s always great to visit BBC Broadcasting House and behold the iconic white lattice radio tower. The tower is more symbolic than functional although apparently it can be used for experimental broadcasts over a short distance.
