Let's take a moment to marvel at the 1970s technology in these spacecraft - computing hardware/software, instruments, RTGs, thrusters, etc. - most of which are still operational after 47 years in the harsh environment of space, 22:53 and 19:04 light hours away resp., with no maintenance or repairs, just workarounds around few failures, quietly exploring where no spacecraft has explored before.

The Israeli Authorities have stopped giving visas to heads and staff of the international NGO community.
For years, these organisations have been providing humanitarian assistance to people in need in close partnership with the U.N.
Increasingly, the Government of Israel is phasing out representation from humanitarian organisations or those engaged in reporting on the atrocities of this war and the impact on civilians.
As humanitarian needs continue to increase we need more humanitarian workers not less. The opposite is now happening.
This comes on top of the ongoing entry ban of international media to report freely from inside Gaza, at a time when a number of senior UN officials are not given permission to visit Gaza and/or are prevented to travel to the West Bank including East Jerusalem.
Humanitarian organisations and international media are prevented from doing their work properly. This has to end and restrictions must be lifted.
Let us do our work including at UNRWA.

SargothA funny aspect of posting to social media is that, once you grok it, it is a departure from older forms of persuasive communication. A post is not an attempt to convince someone of something, or an interjection in a dialogue, or even directed at anyone in particular. It is more of a generalized "her is a cool rock I found"

Efter att ha varit på Moderna museet och sett Duchamp och Catellan känns det plötsligt lite uppiggande att man omgivit Kungliga slottet med en mur av bajamajor (pga Stockholm Marathon).
Är det någon som dagdrömmer nuförtiden? Eller har det trängts bort av mobilscrollande, poddar och ljudböcker?
Annars är livet ganska bra. Särskilt idag när jag inte har något jag måste göra, vaknade utsövd, åt lång frukost, läste klart en bok och gick ut i sommarvädret.
Jag önskar det fanns en inställning för att slippa komma till en telefonsvarare någonsin mer. Varje gång det händer känner jag bara ALDRIG I LIVET att jag talar in ett meddelande efter tonen.
