@NuraShiny @Cowbee I don't know for sure, but I'd imagine that USSR's authoritarian rule was one of the deterrents.
@Snoro as someone who has moved from one country half way around the world, I can tell you how tough it is to uproot your entire life like that. While on the surface it may seem like a logical step to get away from an area that experiences natural disasters, in practice that is a very difficult thing to do.

Ian RoseI pitched a story that I'm really excited about this morning. One that is, in its own little way, I think, important to tell. I'm also going to plant some seeds (inside - it's cold!). These are the things I feel like I can do today. Ultimately, both are hopeful acts, plans for the future.
