Sisters, a dear band to me, more its own genre than fitting a box. Seeing Ben playing hits the tone of the song differently, reminds me of young Andrew. The first and the last of the old Sisters. Being there twice and only once, the voice in both, always. Yet not seeing Ben while standing a meter away sways my mind to When You Don't See Me. The organic becomes a play. Still, one wants More of This Corrosion before heading home, to the roar of a big machine, to the two worlds and in between.

No light to be found

To escape these deep sufferings. As the Earthbound by Sylvaine goes. Many times it seems there's no light for a photo... nor for the mind, the soul. The next song in that album is probably one of the closest descriptions I've read. And yet, even physics says there are ways. Sometimes one only needs to change the way of looking at things. The light is there, you only need a better lens and even in a complete absence of light wood too is just a trapped sunlight.

With light

Occasionally appears a band. Its sound, lyrics, tiny details leave you speechless as if far too much has been poured into the art. That's how I discovered Sylvaine. Years later I'd seen the band's concert. A small venue, a modest crowd and a great show nevertheless. This time I've taken a camera with and followed to see not one but two concerts. Amazing to experience the wall of sound music again. Two small venues, decent crowds, stunning lights and taking pictures of Kathrine was simply a joy.

Whenevеr you touch beauty

It shatters in two degrees. Donna Marina Mårtensson while singing The Coming Race at Laibach concert and encoring together with Milan Fras in magnificent The Engine of Survival. One of the most peculiar performances I've ever seen, full of jokes, Winnetou gifs, stunning lights and amazing artists.

Concert photography, what a funny thing. How does one even make it worthwhile so it's not just an ordinary snapshot and at least attempts conveying an emotion from that moment? Well, there are obviously some technical aspects, sure, but first of all one needs an artist full of energy sometimes doing random cool tricks. Such as Rakel Mjöll from Dream Wife here arching back over a guitarist Bella Podpadec while singing and Alice Go playing in the back.

I've always had this 6th sense. There I was, laying on my bed at 1 a.m., thinking about a collision between concerts and wondering whether I should pursue this one, seeing the next available date in a manageable distance from other events I get this familiar feeling - "Run!" Fast-forward, in an unknown city, in a bit hidden venue, this wild chick in a tracksuit has men crowd-surfing to her on the stage for the whole show. That is, until she jumps straight into a pit of praising hands, singing.

Heron's flight

In the stories they commonly represent patience, focus, grace and wisdom. It takes quite a while to see one of them flying as they tend to wade in the water barely acknowledging their surroundings. The elegant long gliding on wind, if you wait long enough for it to happen, is an incredible sight.
