Praying that this is the year we get sterilizing vaccines.
I am relieved to have tested negative for Covid. I had to go to a high transmission area last weekend before reports came out indicating the level of spread. I was masked, but still.
I know this is nothing compared to what anyone in wartime has endured in even a day. I'm grateful to have testing technology. Still, it is psychologically wearying to have to keep doing this, wondering each time if this is when I'll test positive.
I feel like the pandemic is about to get significantly worse because so few are masking and vaccine-evading variants are on the rise. I'm afraid I'm not going to make it to sterilizing vaccines without getting it. I've been so careful.
