This evening I upgraded my trusty #homeassistant blue 🔵 aka oDroid N2+ with 128G USB Storage who hosted my smarhome since 2021 to a Ryzen 7 7730U with 32G RAM and 512G Storage. The migration went flawless! Big Kudos to the HA Team for making the process that easy. Haven't seen such a smooth backup & restore since years 👏

This evening I created my first model in #FreeCAD that’s not made from basic shapes 🎉

It was really fun to see how a sketch turns into a real object, and how parts of that sketch can be used to extrude features along the main body.

Super cool learning moment 🤓
Now it’s time for the printer to do its thing🔥

Currently I'm on vacation 🏝️😎 Others might think: Yes 💪 time to travel 🧳. But for me it's more like: Yes 💪 time to prototype 🤩 😄.

Recently I saw a small twitter box in the bathroom of a friend of mine and thought 🤔 Well you can diy this 😄 So this morning I started tinkering and this is the current status 😊

A coworker asked if I wanted her unused Arduino starter kit—for free! 🆓 She bought it during her studies but never ended up using it.

I played it cool at the office… then totally geeked out in the car 😬🚗

Oh boy, this is going to be a nerdy springtime 🤓🌱🔧

Sometimes it's just because I can 😄 #3DPrinting #Banana

Sunday is #3DPrintday 🎉 This morning I already got two printers working 😎 The left one prints another mini toolbox 🧰 and the right one my first iteration of an doTERRA Oil diffuser cone. The original ones are made of glass and this one broke. Instead of buying a new glass cone for about 50€ 🤯 I try to print my own in vasemode. On this model I also tried the new TinkerCad sketch tool 🙂

Working on version 2 of my clothes folding board. I improved the holes for an easier assembly and add double hinges to make it completely foldable for even better storage possibilities and larger hoodie support 😎

Aaaand it's done 🎉🤩 I'm really satisfied with the result. And everything without tools, glue or something else. The only stuff you need is filament and the Nipper's that come with your printer 🤓

Printed in Sunlu PETG with a 1mm nozzle 😬

Sunday is #3DPrintday 🎉 After my glorious Crocs fail I start over with the latest model by Nerys. It's a mini toolbox 🧰 optimized for 1mm nozzles. The first part came out promising. Let's see how the rest will turn out.

Uff... during the day I got 2 layer shifts at the exact same position 🙈
So I resliced the model and use a different SD card now. Let's see how this works out... Otherwise I will call it a day and throw this project in the bin 🤷
