After my first failed attempt to print some shoes 👟 in TPU couple months ago, I started over yesterday night. This time with less infill, only 1 Perimeter and a fresh roll of TPU printing from the dryer.

So far it looks promising 🤷

#3DPrinting

Uff... during the day I got 2 layer shifts at the exact same position 🙈
So I resliced the model and use a different SD card now. Let's see how this works out... Otherwise I will call it a day and throw this project in the bin 🤷
@pbl0m do you need to do any special room venting for tpu? ive stuck to pla mainly because im too lazy to come up with a duct system.
@bobmagicii I mostly print it in the basement and open the window a couple times. So far this works for me 🤷 but t.b.h I'm not that afraid in all the fumes, etc. There are more dangerous things in my life 🫤
@pbl0m hmm. alright. though do we agree we should never do ABS this way? (if you say no im going to protest, abs is dangerous my dude)
@bobmagicii abs is a different story especially cause it needs a heated chamber.
@pbl0m interesting print angle!

Some tips for printing shoes:

- no walls / perimeters whatsoever
- depending on the material, zig/zag infill around 30 to 40%
- print at 45 degree angle

This will make for much more comfortable and wearable shoes, that can breathe.
