Europe is insanely warm right now. It has never been this warm so late in the year for some.

Can't believe it is only 43 days until Christmas.

Love this.
"The climate and ecological crisis truly is a Tragedy of the Non-Commons. Not only because those who are responsible for it suffer the least, those least responsible the most—an overwhelmingly huge injustice—but also because those who have power are the least well equipped and inclined to truly change things, whilst those who could offer the most in finding different ways of living are excluded and marginalised"

@[email protected] @[email protected] I think that one model we are likely to see is institutional servers, as the German gov't has already set up. Running a Mastodon instance on corporate iron, along with the webserver and SMTP. The FT might well run one for all its journalists.

After 1 week on #Mastodon, the biggest difference I notice compared to #Twitter is the way each network makes me feel.

Twitter:
Open, scroll…
“Why are people so horrible to each other?”

Mastodon:
Open, scroll…
“Wow! There are so many interesting people in the world! I want to know more of them.”

I sense being here is changing my perspective of social media. #TwitterMigration

Just realize that its 2 years today since this CD came out, and I'm still pretty proud of 'mo chuid don tsaoil mór' (my little part in the big world)

It was my 'what will I do to keep sane for the autumn lockdown' project, that brought together songs I'd recorded over the years, with lockdown songs about good people and selkies!
One of the pleasures of slowly retuning to sessions has been the slow remembering of why I loved to share these songs.
