@MinceirBeoir I treat the CW as headlines not warnings and appreciate not having a mix of cute posts and violent or upsetting news immediately in my face. I don't have to block any words this way, and its calmer.

Having said that I'm aware that a number of groups have said there's a privilege issue about CW/headlines, so I'm listening.

Love this.

@Ciaraioch its a huge issue for people who had curated a solid fanbase or client group who only contacted or bought their work through the phone. I think many of us truly don't get it.
At the same time... they verified Jesus 🤣🤣🤣 sorry 🤐 ...

@robonabike @blindboyboatclub Can I ask - was it booted off mastodon or suspended from one instance?
I'm not trying to debate a particular instance, just wondering if 'booted off Mastodon' is Tw style fighting talk maybe?

The conversation I saw was pretty mild, clearly misunderstood and then discussed on Tw as personal attack on a whole profession. You may be aware of a whole 'nother event though, so there's that!!

@[email protected] @[email protected] I think that one model we are likely to see is institutional servers, as the German gov't has already set up. Running a Mastodon instance on corporate iron, along with the webserver and SMTP. The FT might well run one for all its journalists.
