This week's qeustions was: If you could only operate on one band for the rest of your life, which band would you choose and why?

Here are the responses:
- 30 meters. digital and great propagation
- 6 meters
- 30M - Band not too busy. Good worldwide propagation at times. Antenna length is reasonable.
- I like 40 for NVIS properties but HF seems so finicky with its propagation. -My guess would be 2m for local comms ability.
- 2 m
- 20m - its nice and calm and has dx capabilities
- 40M. It's the workhorse band for me and I hear it's even good in a rough solar cycle.
- 20m. Boring answer, I know, but it's good and reliable for portable operating during the daytime with contacts all around Europe, plus the chance of good DX too.
- VHF- for Winlink use. I have hearing issues and Winlink is my primary Amateur Radio method of operation.
-17M - Because its often a great band between 20 & 15
- 40 meters, I think it would allow me to communicate world wide when conditions were optimal.
- 6m, because of the distances you can potentially reach for an entry level band.
- 20M good for SOTA and contesting
- 40m because it is good most days and nights and during all parts of the sunspot cycle. Good propagation around the world.
- Probably 15m. In all my ham years, it's always delivered for some reason; DX, CW ragchews, FT8, you name it.
- 15 meters. Good amount of bandwidth, and good daytime propagation (when I tend to be active).
- 2 meters, especially on large linked repeater systems. Love those nets!
- I refuse to choose :)
- 6m because it offers all commonly known modes of propagation like F2, TEP, MS, AU, Tropo, LOS, EME, Es. Surprising band openings pop up that keeps things interesting. Antennas can be simple, but even gain antennas are small. It's relatively easy and cheap to make good power on this band
- On 20m I could do pretty much everything but local coms on UHF I could do all sorts of stuff locally. 40/80m is great for local HF stuff. So I think I'd say - 20m & 70cm I just can't pick one tbh.
- 2m, since it's the simplest and most general purpose -- repeaters, APRS, packet, volunteering, etc
- 60 meters, Because HF capabilities and availability to reach people far and wide in the event of an emergency.

We had 29 check-ins to this week's #FediFridayWinlinkNet ! The question of the week was "Do you have any superstitions? If so, give an example (like Friday the 13th is bad luck)?" And although most of you (20) said you don't have any superstitions, here are a few examples from those that do:

- Not really, but Friday the 13th has always been a lucky day for me.
- If I'm working on something (vehicle, computer, radio) and I haven't cut, scraped or otherwise bled on it, I don't think it will work. This holds a surprising amount of the time.
- It is bad luck to get married on any day of the week that ends in a "Y", Spitting into the wind, Telling your wife her sister is hot. [cringe]
- Yes, only install antennas under less than ideal weather conditions. :)
- I do not but it's the 13th and just rear ended a woman today thanks to the car in front of her turning down the wrong way on a one way. Go figure.
- If you hang your horseshoes upside down, the luck will drain out.
- I do knock on wood occasionally. And I try not to walk under ladders, but that's just common sense.
- No, but I did evolve from a prey animal so I do have irrational fears of dark unfamiliar places
