I think your upcoming questions could help #Winlink users learn to use forms. Some good ones are GPS position report, quick message or Winlink Check-in under general templates.
Knowing how to use forms can help train casual users of Winlink to be of valuable assistance during an emergency. Often there are not enough people available.

just checked in to #FFWN, I think / I hope, using "pat" and telnet on a Raspberry Pi 400 that's set up on my local Tailscale net
I did buy an APRS K-1 cable that should in theory let me connect to a local 2 meter node but either I'm holding the cable wrong or it's misbehaving because it didn't work out of the box. so it went back into the box as "future project but not current project". I'll revisit that on the equinox or the solstice.
