Brandmeister & their policies are openly hostile against the spirit of ham radio. The people who run that network are a bunch of jerks. Many of them are also incredibly toxic & also homophobic/transphobic. For my concern, they all can go fuck themselves.

With the mobile update completed, time for a set of portables. Added the new Indy-FM zone with repeaters from RepeaterBook (same list as mobile) and updated the DMR contacts list. Portable B completed. Only Portable A remains (will update next). Now ready for the next road trip (and getting out of the car at the far end). Will eventually add the EM69 DMR repeaters, but just starting with the easy FM repeaters today…

Temporarily avoiding the horrors of the world (and latest #$%!! from Microsoft) by updating programming for the Anytone AT-D578 tri-band mobile. Added a new zone for central Indiana to be ready for the next trip down to EM69. Used RepeaterBook to add 68 new channels into the Indy-FM zone. Also updated the DMR contacts list while I had the radio in the house and connected to the Win11 Ham PC. Ready for the next road trip! #HamRadio #FM #DMR

Also #DB0GWG ist heute (also gestern…) nicht benutzbar. Zwischenzeitlich klingt es nach #DMR und dann nach #POCSAG. Heute Nachmittag so, als wenn jemand am Fluss eingeschlafen wäre mit gedrückter PTT.

The preferential call (priority call) functionality needs to be enabled in the #trunking controller for this to work (screenshot of option attached).

I don't keep it enabled on my repeater usually because it's annoying (the announcement replaces one voice frame in the payload channel).

But I hope someone might find this useful.

As a reminder, the whole trunking base station stack is open source, so anything can be implemented (within reason).
