My 14yo and I both woke up early due to a windstorm, couldnāt get back to sleep, and watched the fantastic #FacingNolan biopic. Watching someone who performed at that high of a level, for 27 years, is incredible. The film is a good nostalgic trip through the era of baseball I grew up watching. The film also dives into the critical role Ruth Ryan played, itās great to see her getting the recognition when so many biopics put the spouse and family in the background.
@TomaszHamerla that could work, the challenge is that I donāt think a lot of the people are here yet. Iām hopeful that it will just take time. (Eg, one of the bright spots of my day is when I see local high school athletes announcing where they will be playing in collegeā¦ they arenāt over here (at least not in critical mass yet, because coaches, scouts, etc arenāt here either).
While I'm incredibly happy to have found these 124 folks over here, they are almost exclusively my tech friends (who are awesome, amazing people btw :-) )
The accumulated mass of ~15 years of random interactions and follows is missing and I hope it can be rebuilt over time, because that's what made it so much richer than a mailing list or chat room.
Hero moment of vacation: getting the family devices on the unthrottled WiFi used by the smart TVs throughout the resort. Revolt avoided.
