While I'm incredibly happy to have found these 124 folks over here, they are almost exclusively my tech friends (who are awesome, amazing people btw :-) )

The accumulated mass of ~15 years of random interactions and follows is missing and I hope it can be rebuilt over time, because that's what made it so much richer than a mailing list or chat room.

@mwinkle how about discovering people on Mastodon by querying Twitter lists made by other people?

@TomaszHamerla that could work, the challenge is that I don’t think a lot of the people are here yet. I’m hopeful that it will just take time. (Eg, one of the bright spots of my day is when I see local high school athletes announcing where they will be playing in college… they aren’t over here (at least not in critical mass yet, because coaches, scouts, etc aren’t here either).
