Apple sites are so wrapped up in future hardware rumors that they refuse to think of a second-generation Vision Pro with M5, coming two years after the original, with a new color option and new strap, as a 'Vision Pro 2' 😅
The biggest 'problems' with Liquid Glass are almost entirely confined to two controls: tab bars, and toolbars. The blurry illegible content clashing with what's underneath, the flashing between light and dark — just two controls. When you think about it like that, it's hard to imagine them delaying or rolling back the design language outright
@Iconfactory awesome, one other thing I just noticed as I am sitting in my car waiting for appointment I’m early for. Anytime I scroll past an item in my feed with an image or video the app takes over carplay audio and switches my car to CarPlay as the audio source. Is there a way to only do that if I click on a video? Video I understand but images I don’t think should happen.
@Iconfactory great news. I have been loving the app overall so far. Any plans to allow viewing of threads/replies in app at some point? It’s the only thing I am missing aside from the macOS client (although the iPad app works incredibly well).
@stephengentle@monocularvision@gruber paying doesn’t get rid of the ads just unlocks extra articles. So you still have to deal with low quality garbage ads.
@fabienmarry@stroughtonsmith yes, I turned it off within the first hour. Lots of little quirks that hopefully get sorted in beta but if not it will remain off for me.
@stroughtonsmith short of that I can’t really justify another $400 US to upgrade to the pro over the air. Extra performance seems a waste and the screen/Face ID don’t seem worth the premium as it sits today.
