a few more shots from my walk through the woods. part of the trail connects to the #greenway, which isn't maybe a footpath per se, but i think it's at least adjacent! still very peaceful. a few cyclist passed by, but otherwise very quiet.

had a lovely walk this morning through the #NorthCarolinaMuseumOfArt walking trails. almost no one was back on the non-paved trails, so i had all of this wonderful scenery to myself. incredibly peaceful, and it always feels so great to start my day with some activity.

my favorite places are the little streams here and there, most of which have little desire-paths leading down to their banks.

o’malley is pleased to be helping me work from home today. i’ve been spending a lot of time in the office lately, so it’s nice to have my buddy back by my side, proof-reading my emails and double-checking my VBA. between naps, of course.

madi took me to a speakeasy downtown called “the merchant” this evening. it was amazing! cool vibe, and the food and drinks were great. we had a pork ragu linguini and some sliders that were absolutely decadent, and i really enjoyed my rob roy (and the second one too). not a cheap meal, but a cool and classy place that we’ll need to keep in mind for a special night out. i’m sure this place get pretty busy on a weekend, but coming here on a tuesday was a really low-key and relaxing time.
