Moved over from the "bird site" to follow people I want to follow and not those that Big Brother pushes at me.

Interested in #dadjokes, #linux, #steamdeck, #astrophotography and #ukweather.

Based in UK.

Give Stellar Studio a try in the album section of the Dwarflab app. It makes the images coming straight out of the #Dwarf3 look even better. I'll be intrigued to see your comparison with more traditional equipment.
Did you know the Slinky was the inspiration behind the bell bottoms... or was it the other way around?
@kelsiraed
I love the detail in the nebulosity. What equipment are you using?

I’m not even going to try to compete with The Hubble but one can try!
Captured this during the summer last year. Most people will recognize the pillars of creation, it’s such an iconic nebula!

The skies finally cleared so I managed to try out my new #Dwarf3 #smartscope. Very impressed!

@bastien I do all my imaging on Linux and would recommend the following free software:

Planetary:
AstroDMx - for image capturing
AstroSurface - (running under Wine) for image processing

DSO:
Siril - for stacking and image processing (pretty much a one stop shop for everything!). Look at "Deep Space Astro" on YouTube for intro videos
GraXpert - for background removal and noise reduction
Seti Astro Suite - for image stretching, curve manipulation, sharpening and noise reduction

Hope that helps.
