You know, i've been looking for a revival of the Portopia Serial Murder Case for a long time, to the point of joining the efforts of tracking down the lost mobile remake of the early 2000s with this search group.

And when #SquareEnix FINALLY decides to pull a modern version of this game, its just to push yet another AI bullshit. Yes this isnt for some #chatGPT or AI Art generator thing, but when your AI experiment tech demo is the selling point, and not the fucking game, it just ruin the whole thing for me. What sad pathetic move but i'm not surprised coming from Squeenix at this point.

Needless to say, you can always try the many versions released for classic Japanese computers like the #PC88 or #MSX if you know the language, or you can try the #famicom version that has an english #fantranslation.

I think it is time to plan getting a #misterfpga.

Its becoming the best option nowadays to play #Doom and #DukeNukem3D as intended without shelling a ton of $$$ in retro PC hardware.

Something I wasn’t expecting - the extremely good GUI for the Amstrad CPC called SYMBOS. Supports the mouse and extra memory to make something equivalent to an early Mac - but on a Z80.

In 2020, dev Swizpig source ported the #Amiga #Doom clone, Gloom, to modern systems, but sadly it hasn't been updated since release. Which is a shame, because it had potential to be used to port other games that used the #Gloom engine.

Games includes not just games for the Amiga but for also to the #CD32

- 8Bit Killer
- Death Mask 3D
- Did It Come From The Desert?
- Ultimate Maze
- X-Men: Mind Games
