I was going through some photos and found this one of Louis Riel's grave in St. Boniface (Winnipeg), MB. His grace is about a five minute walk from my parents home and I wish I got to spend more time here, reflecting on his legacy of self-determination and #indigenous sovereignty. I'm looking forward to visiting again and being prepared to spend more time here.

#Solidarity with the local #Starbucks union who shut down their store because Starbucks refuses to negotiate a contract with them. Shame on you 🐀 Starbucks 🐀 ; collective bargaining is right of all workers and you should be at the table with your employees. (Side note: this educator is very proud to claim a handful of former students amongst these rabble rousers).

I so appreciate the move to show national election results in neutral ways that don't visually suggest that more of the country votes R because D voters live in more densely populated area.
